Washington and Sierra Mountain Weather Extended Outlook

Updated: 12-29-2015

For much of the period through 1-12-2015 the Northwest will have a ridge of high pressure in place and dry conditions over much of this period. However the good news for skiers is the snowpack will settle and temperatures will remain below normal. Thus continued great ski conditions.

How about the Sierra Mountains in California?  Starting next week (Monday or Tuesday) the storm track is aimed into this region. Thus above normal snowfall for this area.

This  map depicts the ridge of high pressure that will be in place at times mainly impacting Washington.
