Washington Cascades & Cal. Sierra Extended Weather

Issued 1-5-2016

Forecast models are starting to indicate a shift in the weather patterns over the next 15 days. We start to have a ridge of high pressure that builds into Washington and Oregon at times and a trough of low pressure and associated storm tract that dives into California. The net impact is the Sierra will continue to get abundant snowfall. The Washington Cascades will still get some snowfall with temperatures tending towards normal to slightly above normal with normal to perhaps slightly below normal snowfall.
