Weather Washington Cascades Extended Outlook

Issued 1-19-2016

Most forecast models are in agreement with troughs of low pressure dropping from the west to northwest. The net result is our region will have a zonal flow (from the west to the east). When we have these  zonal flows we usually have a moist flow and have above normal temperatures and precipitation. This pattern should be in place through early February.
