Given copious amounts of new snow lately and high avalanche conditions in the back-country probably best to stick to ski areas (in the short term). Ski areas monitor avalanche conditions for the in-bounds areas and take proper measures. Also note for this Wednesday there will be additional mountain snow so the major passes can close at any time for avalanche control. Thus, also call first 511 before heading out or check DOT web site .
Stevens Pass Nordic open daily from 12-24 to 12-31. At the Nordic Center at the Summit open daily from 12-26 to 12-31.Leavenworth Golf Course is open daily from today through the end of the year. Methow Trails open daily.
