Weather Washington Cascades - Extended Outloolk

Most forecast models have above normal temperatures and above normal precipitation through the beginning of April. We will have weak ridges of high pressure that form and then weak troughs of low pressure that move inland. This should be reducing our snowpack with now is about 75% of normal for many locations. You will notice on the map below there is a weak ridge over our region with a trough of low pressure to the west. This will be the pattern. Ridge at times -dry and warm and then a trough comes in for cooling and precipitation

500 mb (18,000') mean position for April 3 to April 9
