Weather Washington Cascades- Extended Outlook

Issued 10-17-2018

In the short term we will continue with a strong upper level ridge of high pressure. So continued dry and mild conditions through this weekend. Then starting the middle of next week forecast models are showing a pattern shift. The mail reason is a trough of low pressure moves into the region. Models are suggesting that this will be the pattern for 10-24 through the end of the end. Thus above normal precipitation with normal to slightly above normal temperatures.

500 mb (18,000') for late Wednesday 10-24-2018
