Weather Washington Cascades: Extended Outlook

Issued August 8, 2017 Forecast models bringing some changes this coming Sunday (8-13) and or Monday for chance of rain (first measurable rainfall for Sea-Tac since June 17). This will be due to a trough of low pressure that moves in. The question is will this usher in some changes for the rest of August?  Several models suggest that we can expect cooler conditions and chance of rain through the middle of August and beyond.. Thus, starting Sunday August 13 going till August 21 models bring normal to below normal temperatures and above normal rainfall. However I would like to see more model runs to have higher confidence in this.

500 mb (18,000') for August 17
