The extended forecast models between now and 9-18-2014 continue the pattern of above normal temperatures and little to no precipitation as we remain under a ridge of high pressure.
However starting 9-19 the map below indicates the ridge has shifted to our east. As this happens the Pacific Northwest will get a more zonal flow, from the west to east which will tend to bring more precipitation to the Pacific Northwest.
