Trailhead is just east of North Bend.. The first part of the hike one does not need snowshoes. However you will need them as you get close to the Lakes.

Driving Directions: From Seattle, drive east on I-90 to exit 34 .
Turn left (north) onto 468th Street and follow it to the junction with
the Middle Fork Snoqualmie Road (Forest Road 56). Turn right and
continue up the Middle Fork Snoqualmie Road to the end of the pavement
(about 3 miles from the I-90 exit). Turn right near the gated road and
park, being sure not to block the gate.You need a Discover Pass.
Trail Directions: Trail is 11 miles round trip to the lakes and is 2300 foot
gain. However hike is great without going to the lakes.
