Weather Forecast- Extended Outlook Washington

The extended outlook for the Washington Cascades is we will continue the cool and wet pattern. Very typical La Nina pattern. Current snowpack in much of the West Cascades of Washington is between 100 to 125 percent of normal.
The map below shows the average position of the 500 mb chart (18,000 feet) shows a trough of low pressure off the Washington coast. This usually indicates a wet and cool pattern.
