Fagin's Ski-Snowshoe of the Week- Gold Creek

Gold Creek at Snoqualmie Pass is a very popular spot to ski or snowshoe. If you go on a weekend, make sure you get an early start to get parking. Sunday (2-9-2020) or Monday (2-10-2020) will offer the best chance for sunshine. We followed the Gold Creek summer trail total tour of about 3 miles. The last 1/2 was hard-pack snow, so we took our skies off for that part. One can also snowshoe the entire part.

Not sure if Randy got bored of waiting for me or is taking a power nap

Driving directions:
From Seattle take Interstate 90 over Snoqualmie Pass to exit 54.
Exit I-90, and turn left.
Cross under the freeway and turn right.
Go about 1/4 mile and park.

Trail stats: Here is the map
You can follow road FS 144 (some signs marked "Gold Creek") that follows the summer Gold Creek Trail which is above Gold Creek and on the eastside of the creek.

We went in about 3 miles (thus 6 miles round trip) and there were skiers and folks snowshoeing. Make sure you have a good map.
