Fagin's Hike of the Week- Oyster Dome and Beyond

Just south of Bellingham this is a great hike. We did a grand loop.

Driving directions:

From Seattle drive I-5 north , take the Chuckanut Drive 
Exit off of I-5 (exit 231)
Drive north just past the 10 mile post on Chuckanut Drive (SR 11) and park on the paved, wide place on the west shoulder. 
Be very,very careful parking on the shoulder. If your car's tire is over the "fog line" you will be towed. There are other places to start this hike

Trail stats: To from Chuckanut drive trail headed straight up and went counterclockwise. First to Samish Overlook, then via Larry  Reed Trail and then to Max's Shortcut to Lily Lake then Lizard Lake and then side trip to North Butte. Final stop was Oyster Dome of course. Here is our track, close to 11 miles roundtrip
