Fagin's Hike of the Week: Hope Lake and Beyond

This trail has some snow on it so maybe carry micro-spikes. Less than an 1" of  snow at the lake and maybe 5" in the shaded parts at 5200' south of the lake on the PCT.

Trail Stats: We just went to Trap Pass and here is track which is close to 6 miles roundtrip and 2000 foot gain .
Driving Directions:
From Seattle head east on US 2 (note you cannot access this westbound)
About 12 miles east of Skykomish as you round the crest of the deep curve over Tunnel Creek turn right on Forest Road 6095.
This is about 1/2 mile past MP 60.
Sadly the road is not signed, however we had google map on and it showed this road. Past the turn US 2 turns into a 4 lane road which means you missed your turn.
Continue on FR 6095 1.2 miles to the Trail for Tunnel Creek.

Please note on your return home to Seattle you will have to first go east towards Stevens Pass briefly before you can turnaround and head back west.
