Driving directions:
Drive east on Interstate 90 to US 97.
About two miles north of Mineral Springs, turn left onto Forest Service Road No. 9714 (Iron Creek Road) going off to the west.
Continue about 3.5 miles to road's end and the trail head and parking at 3,800 feet.  Many folks park 100 yards or so before the official trail head due to road conditions.

Trail stats: from the trailhead take trail 1351 to the Knob (5489 feet), This is about 6.4 miles round trip. Great views here. Here is our track.  Some folks like to go to Jester Mountain which is about another 0.50 mile (north and east) at 5520 feet. The waypoints are :N47°22.324' and W120°321' . This is harder to find than the Knob at 5489 feet and views at the Knob are great.
