Weather Washington Cascades: Extended Outlook

Issued 10-23-2017

The extended forecast for Thursday October 26 through  Tuesday October 31 has a strong ridge of high pressure (see map below) anchored over the west coast. Thus above normal daytime temperatures and below normal precipitation can be expected over this period. Some models continue this pattern through November 5 but I would think the ridge breaks down before this. If this ridge breaks down  then we can expect some cooling in early November and chance of precipitation.
