Fagin's Hike of the Week: Boulder River

Updated: May 12, 2017

This trail is just east of Arlington Washington off of Washington 530 and features a lush forest and minor ups and downs, so just minor elevation gain. Also some awesome waterfalls. I hiked this several years but current reports state that the trail is in good condition and no snow.

Driving directions: From Seattle drive I-5 north and exit Arlington state Highway 530. Drive about 20 miles just past milepost 41 on. Turn right on French Creek road (FS 2012). Drive 3.7 miles to trail.
Trail stats: 8.6 miles round trip and 700 foot gain. You can go shorter and get great views of waterfalls.
