Weather Washington Cascades: Extended Outlook

Issued 10-18-2016
Most forecast models bring troughs of low pressure down from the northwest from today through the end of the month. With this pattern temperatures will tend to be below normal and precipitation above normal. Thus, this should start adding to our fall-winter snowpack.  Finally some models suggest that a ridge briefly builds towards  the end of the month (map below)so perhaps a drying pattern then.

Ridge builds briefly on  10-28-2016
