KUOW Hike of the Week- Kachess Beacon

This hike is just east of Snoq Pass. Perfect hike for flowers.

Photo below is Kachess Lake, photo by Alan Bauer Directions: From Seattle drive I-90 east and get off at Exit 70. Proceed over the freeway and turn left onto frontage road. Then turn right on FS Road 4818 (signed Kachess Dam Road). Stay on Road No. 4818 go one mile to an unsigned road junction, turn right-- on the tree there is some paper tacked to the tree. Continue to the trailhead trail 1315 (Silver Creek) , elevation 2,368 feet (it is also the trailhead for Easton Ridge). Waypoints at Trailhead are N 47-16-03 W 121-10-28 2368'

Trail stats: 4 miles round-trip with about 2300 feet elevation gain. High point is at about 4584 feet. About mile from the start of the trail take a junction to the left at this waypoint. N 47-16-37 W 121-10-06 3430'. This is a shortcut and go left here there will be some branches on trail junction but there is a good trail. Driving directions and trail stats by Karen Sykes.
