The above maps is a 500 mb map (about 18,000 feet) and this shows a trough of low pressure to the south of our region on Wednesday 4-29-09. This type of pattern will bring below average temperatures and this seems to be pattern that the Norhtwest is in with these lows dropping down from the north from time to time.
