Updated: March 16,
2018 This is a great snowshoe trip with compact snow. This is a shorter trip of
3.5 miles, roundtrip but you will get a good workout. If you are looking for something
else to do there is the very popular
Skyline Lake tour Parking at Stevens Pass can be tricky ( very popular area) so going on a weekday is best or very early start on the weekend to get parking.

Trail stats : Pacific Crest Trail you will see a big sign at Stevens Pass parking lot on the north side of the highway, behind the power station that feeds the Ski Area. Go about 1.5 miles on old railroad grade east and parallel to Hwy 2 and trail goes north don’t go much further than 0.25 mile. Beyond total of 1.75 miles you get into route finding issues, side hilling on steep slopes, and some avalanche terrain. This is minimal elevation gain and 3.5 miles roundtrip
