Weather Washington Cascades: Extended Outlook

Issued November 15, 2017
Forecast models showing troughs of low pressure dropping down from the Gulf of Alaska and this should be the case through at least November 28. The map below shows a trough of the Washington coast and a ridge of high pressure just to our east. This type of pattern will bring above normal temperatures and above normal precipitation. Medium confidence in this forecast as the patterns can change if either the ridge or trough shifts.

500 mb (18,000') trough of our coast for later next week
