Weather Washington Cascades: Extended Outlook

Issued August 30,2017

A weak trough of low pressure moves in today and Thursday so daytime temperatures will be close to normal. Then starting this Friday the ridge of high pressure rebuilds and many models suggest this stays in place through at least 9-12. Thus we continue the pattern of above normal and little chance of precipitation for the start of September.

500 mb (18,000') shows strong ridge of high pressure over West Coast
