We are in the pattern of troughs of low pressure that move in and out of our region. When we do have the troughs over the region, like this weekend, that will tend to bring the chance of some isolated thundershowers.
Then by August 12 models indicate a ridge of high pressure that builds that should bring stable conditions and mostly dry conditions over that period.
