Weather Washington Cascades- Extended Outlook

Issued 6-25-2014

Weather for the period July 2 to July 8 brings normal temperatures and slightly above normal precipitation. The slightly above precipitation is due to a trough of low pressure that periodically moves close to the f Washington Coast (see link below). On July 4 the trough is forecasted to be just to our north. This trough will at times drop south to be over our region for some precipitation at times. It is important to note that "above normal" precipitation in July usually does not mean heavy precipitation. The average precipitation in Seattle is only 0.70 inches for the entire month of July.
