In the short run, now through 1-12-2014, forecast models show above normal temperatures and precipitation. Thus snow at higher elevations in the Cascades (5000'). Then from January 15 to January 21 a ridge of high pressure rebuilds (see map below). This type of pattern would bring the Cascades below normal snowfall for 1-15 to 1-21.
