Weather Washington Cascades- Extended Outlook

Forecast models out to November to 26 are close to normal temperatures and precipitation. This is mainly due to a zonal flow (from west to east) in the upper atmosphere. The map below shows this pattern.

However, in the short run there is a strong system that moves in on this Friday with some snow for the mountains with some areas in the West Cascades that gets 14 to 24 inches at 4500' level.
