The forecast models seem to be struggling with the extended forecast. This is not usual as the models seem to have a difficult time making the transition from winter to spring. At this point for the period out to April 27 models are suggesting normal precipitation and temperatures. Thus we will generally have a zonal flow in the upper atmosphere from west to east. However lower confidence in this forecast.
