7 to 10 day weather for the Northwest

The map below is the 500 mb map (at about 18,000 to 19,000 foot level). The forecast is for July 25 and the forecast indicates a trough of low pressure once again off the Washington Coast. The net impact of this pattern is cool and wet. This for some reason has been a constant weather theme this summer.
