Extended Outlook July 3 to July 9

The above map is a 500 mb map (about 18,000 feet) for July 4 and this shows a strong ridge of high pressure over the West Coast and this would tend to bring above average temperatures and below average rainfall. In fact this should be the pattern through July 9.
